From small to extra large - all the design proposals offer the same amazing Stommel Haus quality - giving their owners an experience of life with elegance and comfort in ample space. The excellent finish of best quality healthy materials, designed for energy efficiency, a Stommel Haus home provides a spacious, elegant and healthy living experience.
All Stommel houses have an "active interior climate" providing spacious, light, contemporary and technically "green" (eco) accommodation. The open plan living-dining area and kitchen, all with large windows, will soon become the centre of your family life.
The hall is very spacious and a very useful utility room is accessed from the kitchen.
Upstairs you have a family bathroom with bath and the bedrooms with at least one fitted with en-suite shower room. Some houses include a gallery which is open to the ground floor living area and brings in a lot of light to the main living area. This open gallery area is an integral part of the house and offers space for playing, a study or your own private retreat. Optionally, the gallery can be exchanged for more upstairs floor space offering an additional bedroom.
The Stommel Haus homes are built with state of the art, extremely well insulated Stommel "Elementar" walls. All exterior walls are built as a double wall using seasoned and carefully selected wood from the heart of polar spruce. The 34.85 cm thick wall is very well insulated. There is a services cavity of 3.5 cm in the walls for the electrical installations and the solid wood of the wall is the best protection from electro smog. The walls have a very high thermal insulation value of u = 0.17 W/m².
The partition walls are made of a timber-frame construction of 15 cm thickness insulated with 40 mm of insulation material, covered both sides with Fermacell and with a finishing plaster that needs no additional wall paper or painting. The partition walls thus have a very good sound and heat insulation.
The houses are fitted with triple glazed windows and wooden frames of the highest quality and the high quality solid front door provides excellent thermal insulation. The windows have special anti-burglar fixings and the front doors are fitted with a triple bolt interlock unit.
The houses are heated with the latest technology in air or ground source heat exchanger system of the highest quality linked to under floor heating throughout the house. In addition the heat exchanger provides the hot water.
All bathrooms are fitted with towel rail radiators and top quality bathroom suites from Duravit, Villeroy & Boch, Keramag and Grohe.
