27th January 2015 - final SAP energy rating for the house in Yorkshire
With its well insulated walls and roof, triple glazing high quality windows, air-source heat pump and a 3.7 kwp photovoltaic system the new Stommel house in East Yorkshire scores a fantastic SAP energy rating of 96 points.
18th December 2014
The first fix stage of the house in Yorkshire is finished and the heating will be switched on this week. Over Christmas, the fresh screed can dry and the paint work will start at the beginning of the new year. While this work is going on, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
6th November 2014: Good progress on build project in Surrey and Yorkshire
The project in Surrey is at its final stages. The flooring is currently beeing finished, the stair case will be put in from the 13th November. The joiners will finish their work and also install the interior doors. .So all is well on its way.
The assembly of the house in Yorkshire has started as planned on the 28th October and was wind- and water tight at the end of the first week. First fix electrics is currently underway.
15th October 2014: Latest Stommel Haus home built in Surrey scores highest SAP Rating
The Stommel Haus home currently being finished in Surrey has had its air-tightness test done and subsequently the as-built SAP energy rating was calculated by renowned energy assessors Briary Energy.
"This latest house built by Stommel Haus scores the highest SAP rating we ever calculated", says Gary Nicholls from Briary. With excellent insulation values of walls, roof and windows, a high quality heat pump and 8 KW PV system, it scores 100 points!
15th September 2014: Next Stommel Haus homes in Surrey and Yorkshire
The next Stommel Haus home in the UK is currently being built in Surrey. The project plan shows a moving-in date at the end of November. The EPC shows SAP A energy ratings.
From end of October, a beautiful Stommel house will be built in Yorkshire near Hull.
June 2013: Stommel Haus home Silver Birch in Purley finished 10 days ahead of schedule
The house in Purley is finished and the owner, Connie, said at the end of acceptance day: &quo;Today was THE day! We were handed over the house (bar some minor changes which will happen in the next few weeks)! The site manager came over to do the final sign off and Barbara and Alan were here too. I've been saying that in some ways it's a bit like having a very fast labour …we are a bit in shock about suddenly having a fully functional house in such a short time! Just like a brand new parent we find ourselves nervous about looking after it. All the fancy machinery and technology, making sure it stays perfect… we feel elated that the house is complete and we love it and can't wait to populate it with noise and stuff and memories but we also feel a bit bereft about not having Patric, Barbara and Alan at the end of the phone or email anymore. Luckily they've all become friends in the process and we won't have to miss them for long!"
The clients have moved in in the meantime and have also finished the landscaping.

February 2013: First "Mock Tudor" Stommel house in Purley, Greater London
A wonderful 5 bedroom, 3 storey Stommel house with around 243 m² (GIA) living space is under construction in Purley, Greater London at this moment. The assembly started on 26th February and the clients will move in at the end of June. The architecture of the house is determined by the strict local planning permission in the conservation area and we are therefore proud to present the first "Mock Tudor" Stommel house. Our happy clients already named this house "Silver Birch" - after the beautiful silver birches in the mature garden.
On May 4th and 5th about 60 people visited the Construction Shell Open Day where the high quality build and fittings of the house were demonstrated with under-floor heating on all three storeys, excellent triple glazing windows and much more.
In the meantime, after passing the air-tightness test with flying colours with 0.84 m³/(hm²)@50pa (which is more than 3 times better than required), the SAP energy certificate was finalised and "Silver Birch" scored a straight A.
June 2012: Stommel Haus show home in Cologne
This is the new Stommel Haus show home near Cologne. The house is heated with under-floor heating which is driven by the lastest "Solar Eis" system - a milestone in heating technology.
The house is a wonderful example of a contemporary, energy efficient house with 198 m² living space and 4 bedrooms. It has an open plan living area downstairs, a generous utility room and a separate study/guest room.

Stommel Haus home in Leicestershire
Construction of a wonderful 2 bedroom house with 176m² near Heather in Leicestershire started on 7th September on a rural plot and was handed over on 21. December 2012.
May 2012: Proud owners feeling truly at home in their wonderful house.
21.12.2011: The house is handed over to the clients. They can move in just in time for Christmas.
Status: 15.12.2011: The house will be finished on-time and in-budget. The acceptance of the house and handover is planned for the 21st December 2011. The owners will move in in-time for Christmas.

This wonderful 5 bedroom house with 288 m² was built in Bruchertseifen placed on a wonderful rural plot with wonderful views.
This charming house with a Scandinavian touch is built in Altenahr/Germany with 147 m². It is painted in the famous Swedish red.
