Stommel Haus - German Premium Manufacturer of high quality, energy efficient and luxury contemporary houses
Stommel Haus have manufactured timber houses for more than 45 years and built more than 2200 houses in German speaking Europe, the UK, Benelux and Sweden.
The slogan "Ein Haus wie ein Baum - A house like a tree" - underlines our focus on the healthy and natural building material wood. We use timber cut from the heartwood of only the best quality arctic spruce harvested from certified forests to build luxury contemporary homes. The construction design, production and build are certified with renowned German certification marks and are regularly monitored by third party inspection.
When it comes to ecologically friendly, energy efficient and healthy living, Germany is well advanced. Stommel Haus reflects this advanced living standard in the design of their eco friendly homes achieving very high insulation values as well as a healthy indoor climate by selecting natural building materials devoid of any toxic materials.
We produce the houses off-site in Germany and assemble them on site from bottom slab upwards. Our high precision production process allows us to erect a bespoke "flat pack house" in a very quick time, typically in one week. We also kit out the houses with high quality interiors, top brand bathroom suites, ceramic tiles, timber floors, as well as under-floor heating on all storeys run by state-of-the art air or ground source heat pumps. The detailed selection of the interior fittings is done in Germany during a so called "fitting meeting".
Your Stommel eco friendly house is produced based on a bespoke design which we provide for you or based on your architect's design.

Famous Stommel Haus show home "Bambus" moves site
After more than 10 years, the award winning show home "Bambus" - which inspired so many bespoke client homes - moves site. The show home village in Wuppertal will be closed, so "Bambus" had to move to the Stommel Haus head quarters in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid.
Dismantling and re-erecting it took only 2 weeks, the new kitting out is taking place at the moment and the show home should be re-opened very soon. See more information in the News section.
Stommel Haus Silver Birch in Purley/Greater London scored a straight A energy rating
The unusual Mock Tudor Stommel Haus "Silver Birch" was finished 2 weeks ahead of schedule in summer 2013. After passing the air-tightness test with flying colours with 0.84 m³/(hm²)@50pa (which is more than 3 times better than required), the SAP energy certificate was finalised and "Silver Birch" scored a straight A.
